Success Stories
Third Coast Sports Foundation has been blessed to hear about dozens of success stories from churches who have used events to reach out to people that didn't have a church home. Here are just a few:
1. A 17-year-old in Las Vegas.
A 17-year-old in Las Vegas left the church two years earlier after getting his girlfriend pregnant and dropping out of high school. He felt like he didn't belong in the church. He came back to the church after being invited to a Gladiators arena football game and being touched by what Matthew West had to say during his concert.

2. They didn't have a church home.
A couple in Hendersonville, Tennessee didn't have a church home. They were invited to a Nashville Sounds game where they were first introduced to the leadership and several families that were members of an area congregation. They were impressed and started coming to services and participating in other activities. They got so involved that they started a ministry for parents with special needs children. At last check there were 10 other families with special needs children, some without any church background, that had started attending that congregation.
3. Dad recommitted his life to the Lord.
A 10-year-old boy that wasn't involved in church was invited by one of his friends to come to Faith Night. While he was there he picked up a camouflaged Heart of the Outdoors Bible and took it home to his dad because he knew he liked to hunt and fish. When the boy gave the Bible to his dad, his dad started crying. He told the boy he hadn't read the Bible in 20 years. that dad recommitted his life to the Lord and started taking that boy to church services and activities.
